History
The theatre group celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2002 with a gala evening on 27 April. For the occasion Kurt Rodehau and his team staged two productions: Heinrich von Kleist's Der zerbrochne Krug (The Broken Jug), directed by Jürgen Peter, in May in the municipal gymnasium, and in the autumn Der Brandner Kaspar und das ewige Leb'm, directed by Rodehau, who also played the role of the Boandlkramer (Death). The club's chronicle calls the latter probably its largest and most successful production.[3] In October 2026 the regional newspaper Frankenpost opened its series on local theatre groups, Die Theatermacher, with a portrait of the Dörflas group.[2]
Repertoire
Besides its stage productions in the Dörflas gymnasium, which in October 2026 included the comedy Drei Geister für Charlene, the group organises murder mystery dinners and costumed historical tours of Marktredwitz, among them a night watchman's tour and tours of the Brand castle, run with the town's tourist office.[4][5]
