The Arnbrucker Theatergruppe e. V. is an amateur theatre group in Arnbruck in the district of Regen, Lower Bavaria, Germany, in the Bavarian Forest. It has performed since 1981 in the hall of the Gasthaus zum Dorfwirt in Arnbruck, and since 2012 has also had a youth and children's theatre.[1][2]
Repertoire
The group plays in dialect and, because of this commitment to the dialect and cultural heritage of the region, is permitted by the German amateur theatre federation to use the intangible cultural heritage logo.[3] Its winter productions include Schweinernes in Büchsen (2016/17), Heiratsfieber (2017/18), FKK beim Dampflwirt (2018/19), Auf Regen folgt Segen (2019/20), Endlich san d' Weiber furt (2022/23) and Gspenstermacher (2023/24). In 2019 it performed a festival play for the 375th anniversary of the Liebfrauenkapelle, and in the summers of 2021 and 2022 it gave one-act plays in a beer garden.[2]
The youth and children's theatre has staged a fairy-tale play almost every year since Easter 2012, among them Rumpelstilzchen (2016), Der Räuber Hotzenplotz (2017), Die Bremer Stadtmusikanten (2022) and Der verzauberte Prinz (2024).[2]
