The Deister-Süntel-Bühne is an amateur theatre group in Bad Münder in the district of Hameln-Pyrmont, Lower Saxony, Germany, named after the nearby Deister and Süntel hills.[1] Founded in February 2009 at the JMS music school in Bad Münder, it stages a boulevard comedy each spring and, since 2012, runs a senior theatre group, Spätlese.[1][2]
History
The group was formed in February 2009 and gave its first production, Hier sind Sie richtig, in 2010 with four performances; the number later rose to six. The senior theatre group Spätlese started in February 2012.[1][3] In 2025 the group celebrated its 16th season with Aspirin und Bratkartoffeln.[4] In 2026 it opened with a new fire-proof stage curtain.[4]
Repertoire
The main group performs light comedies and salon comedies for small casts, avoiding coarse slapstick; its productions so far, in reverse order, were Aspirin und Bratkartoffeln, Escape Room „Nail Diamonds“, Alles nur Theater, Fifty Fifty, Hausfreunde, Krankenstand, Oh, diese Männer, Ballettratten, Rommé zu dritt, Die Queen von Quekenbüttel, Rosenkrieg nach Paragrafen, Das Parfum meiner Frau, Keine Leiche ohne Lilly and Hier sind Sie richtig.[5][3] The Spätlese group presents an annual programme of sketches with live music by the band Kiscko Hybrid, served with coffee and cake, such as Ganz normal verrückt (2025).[6][4]
