History
According to the group, it developed from the drama club of the Wüllenweber-Gymnasium in Bergneustadt, whose young members regularly filled their auditorium. In 2026 the group converted the lighting of its small stage entirely to LED.[1]
Repertoire
The group mainly stages comedies, alongside an annual Christmas production by its children's and youth group. In February and March 2025 it performed Christian Kühn's comedy Machos auf Eis, and in March and April 2025 the two-hander Zwei wie Bonnie und Clyde by Sabine Misiorny and Tom Müller, all of whose performances were sold out.[2] Its 2026/27 programme includes Die Schneekönigin, a stage version of Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale by Gisela Schelhasse, and Theater, Theater!; a planned comedy, Bücher, Kuchen, Katastrophen! by the group's chairman André Fritsche, was cancelled for organisational reasons.[3]
The children's and youth group, for ages 9 to 16, rehearses weekly in the hall of the Bergneustadt secondary school (Realschule) from Easter and gives eight or nine performances during Advent, including on Christmas Eve and Boxing Day.[1]
