The Stadltheater Bruckmühl-Heufeld e. V. (Stadltheater Bruckmühl) is an amateur theatre association in Bruckmühl, district of Rosenheim, Bavaria, Germany. Since October 1991 it has staged Bavarian folk theatre every spring and autumn, playing in the hall of the Justus-von-Liebig-Schule in Heufeld.[1][2] In 2018 it won second place in the dialect theatre category of the Larifari Bavarian amateur theatre prize.[3]

History

The group has performed since October 1991 and dedicates itself to Volkstheater in all its facets, describing itself as "a theatre of the people for the people".[1] Besides the spring and autumn productions it staged children's plays in summer between 2005 and 2017.[4] For its 25th anniversary it published a 44-page Theaterblaadl about its history.[1] The spring 2020 production Der bayerische Protectulus was cut short when the municipality cancelled all events because of the COVID-19 pandemic; there were no productions in autumn 2021 and spring 2022, and the play was finally staged in autumn 2022.[1][4] In 2026 the association marked its 35th anniversary with an excursion to Schärding and Passau.[1]

Repertoire

The repertoire consists mainly of Bavarian comedies and farces by authors of the amateur theatre publishers such as Ulla Kling, Maximilian Vitus, Peter Landstorfer and Ralf Kaspari, with summer children's plays after Otfried Preußler and Astrid Lindgren.[4]
