History
The group was formed at the beginning of October 1994 as a working group (AG) of the Volkshochschule Ochtendung, on the initiative of the adult-education centre's educational director. Its first appearance was a sketch, Familie Plemplem, at a carnival session (Kappensitzung) in Ochtendung in February 1995. In autumn 1995 it played a one-act sketch at the Volkshochschulen in Rhens and Ochtendung, and in November 1995 it staged its first full-length play, the Schwank Blaues Blut und Erbsensuppe, which it repeated in Trimbs in March 1996.[2]
From then on the group staged a full-length play almost every year, mostly comedies and crime comedies, alongside a children's fairy-tale play in 1996. It also played occasional sketches at local events, such as the 15th anniversary of the Volkshochschule Ochtendung in 2000, a senior citizens' afternoon in 2001, historical sketches for the 1050th anniversary of Ochtendung in 2013 and a Loriot sketch at the Löhr-Center in Koblenz in 2015.
