The theatergruppe lila e. V. was an independent amateur theatre group in Ansbach, Middle Franconia, Bavaria, Germany. History
After its first productions in the Ansbach Badcafé, the Angletsaal and the hall of the local heritage society, the group rehearsed and performed from 1998 to 2013 at the Speckdrumm in the Naglerstraße; in 2016 and 2017 it played in a hall of a former car dealership. Most members were students. Each production was prepared in only two weeks of intensive rehearsals before a premiere in mid-September, during which the members also built a stage and seating in an empty factory hall; productions eventually ran for ten performances. The group received the youth culture prize of the town of Ansbach in 1998 and 2006 and a Lions Club award in 2000, and attracted regular audiences from Nuremberg, Würzburg and Munich.[1]
After a pause caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting lack of new members, the group decided to stop.
