History
Willi Lex founded the club in 1960 and led it as chairman for about 45 years, supported by his wife Doris and their sons; he also acted in its productions for 45 years and organised plays and venues. From 1970 the club's Truderinger Bauernballett brought it wider fame, with television appearances including the Rudi Carrell Show, Das aktuelle Sport-Studio and Lustige Musikanten, and performances abroad, among them in New York.[1][2] His son Günter Lex succeeded him as chairman in the mid-2000s and directs many of the productions.[2]
