History

The club was founded in 1949. It played at the Stieglbräu inn from 1950 to 1955 and at the Bräumichl from 1956 to 1970; since 1978 its venue has been the parish centre of St. Jakob.[1]

Repertoire

The club aims for a balanced choice of plays, alternating light comedies and traditional farces with gripping dramas, with sets ranging from the parlour of a Bavarian farmer to a New York jury room.[1] In spring 2017 it staged Die 12 Geschworenen (Twelve Angry Men) with seven sold-out performances at the Musikschule Schrobenhausen, directed by Georg Berger; in May 2018 it followed with Yasmina Reza's Der Gott des Gemetzels.[1]

Venue

Since 1978 the club's regular venue has been the Pfarrzentrum (parish centre) St. Jakob in Schrobenhausen; the 2017 production was staged at the Musikschule Schrobenhausen.[1]
