History
The group grew out of an initiative in January 2004 to bring adults with and without disabilities together in a lasting project; the supporting association was founded in May 2004. Its aims are the personal development of people with disabilities and an annual new production with actors with and without disabilities.[1] The association celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2024.[2]
Repertoire
The plays are written and directed by Michael Felsenstein, a founding member of the group, a former actor at the Theater in der Josefstadt in Vienna and leader of the Chiemgau choir in Traunstein.[1] Productions have included Familienbande (2017), Das kalte Herz (2019) and Nur ein Freund (2022).[3] In 2024 the group revived Felsenstein's Reise ins Glück?, first staged in 2014, about a refugee family from Moldova; the premiere opened with Hans Albers's Lied der Flüchtlinge.[2] In May 2026 it gave six performances of a new play by Felsenstein.[3]
Venue
The group performs at the cultural centre NUTS – Die Kulturfabrik in Traunstein.[3][2]
Awards
The group and Michael Felsenstein received the Deutscher Bürgerpreis from the district of Traunstein for their work.[1]
