History
The heritage society was founded on the occasion of the municipality's 1200th anniversary; its theatre group and the Tenglinger Bajuwarengruppe were formed in 1994.[1] When its earlier venue, the Tenglinger Neuwirt inn, was no longer available, the group found a new home at the Bergwirt in Taching in 2014; with the municipality's support a stage was bought and converted for theatre use with the society's help. Its first production there, Ulla Kling's farce D' Moral is beim Deifi, played to five sold-out performances and an additional one, with about 1,000 spectators. In January 2015 Renate Frisch was elected head of the theatre section, when the society adopted its new name.[1]
Repertoire
The group stages Bavarian farces. In November 2015 it performed Franz Schaurer's No amoi a Lausbua sei, directed by Renate Frisch; the Traunsteiner Tagblatt compared the play to Ludwig Thoma's Lausbubengeschichten.[2]
Venue
The group formerly played at the Tenglinger Neuwirt and since 2014 has performed at the Bergwirt in Taching.[1]
