Volle Möhre! is an amateur improvisational theatre group in the Nuremberg area of Middle Franconia, Bavaria, Germany. It gave its first performance in 2003 at the Ansbacher Kammerspiele in Ansbach and has an ensemble of nine performers.[1][2]

History

The group grew out of a circle of players in Ansbach; one of its members took part before the group was called Volle Möhre!.[2] It celebrated its 20th stage anniversary on 6 April 2023 with a show at the Ansbacher Kammerspiele, where it had started.[3][1]

Repertoire

The performers act without script, props or costumes and turn suggestions from the audience into scenes.[2] In 2011 the group developed its own format, Impro-Kabarett, in which the audience proposes current political and social topics that the players turn into satirical scenes.[4] The Rote Bühne in Nuremberg, where the group plays its improvised cabaret, describes it as giving more than 50 shows a year as well as private and corporate performances.[5] Other formats include a Christmas show and improvised shows for children.[2][5]

Venue

The group has no stage of its own. It plays regularly at the Ansbacher Kammerspiele, the Rote Bühne and the Kulturkellerei in Nuremberg, and at other venues in the region.[2]

Organisation

Besides shows, the group offers improvisation workshops for companies.[2]
