'''Die Spielmacher''' is an amateur theatre group from the [[wikipedia:Untergiesing-Harlaching|Untergiesing]] district of [[wikipedia:Munich|Munich]], Bavaria, Germany. Founded in 1986, it stages one full-length play each spring, ranging from comedy thrillers and crime plays to boulevard comedies and plays in Bavarian dialect.<ref name="ueber" />

== History ==
The group began in 1986 with a one-act play for the Christmas party of the sports club SC München. Forty years later it performs a new full-length play over several consecutive spring weekends, with catering for the audience. For its 20th and 25th anniversaries, in 2006 and 2011, it published chronicles of its founding and history.<ref name="ueber" /><ref name="chronik" /> In 2021, instead of a stage production, the group made a film, ''Das Märchen vom verschollenen Märchen''.<ref name="home" />

== Repertoire ==
The group covers "almost all genres" of popular theatre.<ref name="ueber" /> The group has staged a production almost every year since 1986, including several translations of English-language comedies as well as revivals of earlier productions.<ref name="home" />
