The Laientheater Allershausen e. V. is an amateur theatre group in Allershausen in the district of Freising, Upper Bavaria, Germany. Founded in 1982, it stages a Bavarian comedy each spring and a Christmas play for children in the Catholic parish hall of Allershausen.

History
The idea for the club arose on 20 January 1982, when Sebastian Huber, Franz Schwaiger and Günter Wametsberger sat together in the Allershausen sports clubhouse after an indoor football tournament and discussed founding either a choir or a theatre club; according to the chronicle, Huber's singing settled the question in favour of theatre. Their first production, Der Wunderdoktor, premiered on 22 May 1982 in the Catholic parish hall, which has remained the group's venue. Although attendance was disappointing, nine members founded the association on 2 July 1982 at the Kuglalm inn in Leonhardsbuch.

The club grew to 60 members by 1993. In 1994 it added a small room to the parish hall at its own expense, and in 1995 it enlarged the stage. Since 1984 it has also performed a Christmas play for children, followed by a visit from St Nicholas, and it gives a free performance of each production for elderly, sick and disabled people together with local welfare organisations. Its 15th anniversary was celebrated in June 1997 with the consecration of a club banner, with the Heimatbühne Eching as sponsoring club; about 85 clubs took part in the parade. In 2001 the group gave its only guest performance so far, in Sauerlach. By its 40th anniversary it had grown to 140 members and had staged 57 plays and 33 Christmas plays.

Repertoire
The group mainly performs Bavarian comedies and farces. There were no productions between 2020 and 2024 because of the COVID-19 pandemic and water damage. Earlier productions include Der bayrische Don Camillo, Der Latschenbauernsepp auf Brautschau, Gspenstermacher, Kramer Res and Schmugglerbazi; more recent ones include Was ist denn bloß im Pfarrhof los? and Die Traumpaare von Schwingötting.

On 1 July 2018 the club's children's and youth group staged its first open-air production, the fairy-tale play Die goldene Gans after the Brothers Grimm, with 18 children, in the parish garden before more than 120 spectators.

Organisation
Besides theatre, it runs a stall at the Allershausen Christmas market and takes part in the carnival, environmental clean-ups and summer holiday programmes.
