The Neue Bühne Bruck e. V. (NBB) is an amateur theatre in Fürstenfeldbruck, Upper Bavaria, Germany. Founded in 1984 by the teacher Harald Molocher, it works on the principle of amateur actors performing under professional directors, and runs a year-round programme of four to five productions per season in its own theatre at the Veranstaltungsforum Fürstenfeld.

History
Harald Molocher, a teacher at the Graf-Rasso-Gymnasium in Fürstenfeldbruck who led its school drama group, founded the Neue Bühne Bruck in 1984 with the aim of letting amateurs work with professional directors on a demanding repertoire. Its first premiere, Mensch Meier by Franz Xaver Kroetz, took place on 9 January 1985 in the school's gymnasium. A children's play followed in summer 1985 in a rented tent on the fairground; the group then played for a while in the theatre barn of the Brucker Brettl in Biburg. In 1985 the association bought the discarded folding seats of a former cinema, and in 1987 it opened its own cellar theatre with a proscenium stage and bar in the Malchinger Straße in Neulindach, with Dario Fo's Offene Zweierbeziehung. It also played at other venues around Fürstenfeld Abbey, including the former granary and the catacombs.

Directors and actors such as Johanna Liebeneiner, Rudolf Danker and Kurt Weinzierl worked at the theatre; Liebeneiner staged Kalte Hände by Thomas Baum, a play about sexual abuse within a family that, according to Molocher, a Munich theatre had turned down. In 2001 the theatre moved from the cellar into its present playing space in Haus 11 of the newly opened Veranstaltungsforum Fürstenfeld. After 35 years Molocher handed over the theatre in the 2019/20 season to a team of long-standing members led by Alexander Schmiedel and Philip Schultheiß; Molocher became director of the Altmühlsee-Festspiele in Muhr am See. The new management added comedies and an annual children's play to the programme. The theatre celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2025, with a production of Woyzeck directed by Molocher and a revue in May.

Repertoire
The repertoire ranges from comedy to tragedy, from staged readings to musical productions, and from classical to contemporary plays, including children's plays; by 2025 the theatre had staged almost 200 productions. Under its founder it became known for socially critical and experimental plays. Each production is rehearsed for about six weeks; all are directed by professionals, and occasionally professional actors are engaged. Since about 2000 the improvisational theatre group In Impro Veritas, led by Claus Hilgers, has been a regular part of the programme, alongside the improvised crime format Tatort Fürstenfeld.

Venue
Since 2001 the theatre has played in Haus 11 of the Veranstaltungsforum Fürstenfeld, the event centre in the former abbey buildings. The larger space and better technical equipment made large productions possible, such as Brecht's Die Dreigroschenoper. At the move the theatre had only 20 spotlights instead of the 70 to 80 it needed; Molocher paid for much of the equipment himself, including 100 seats from an old cinema.

Organisation
The theatre also hosts guest performances, such as those of the Altmühlsee-Festspiele and the Schlossfestspiele Thurnau.

Awards
The theatre has received the Kulturförderpreis of the Kulturverein Fürstenfeld twice, in 2006 and 2023. According to the theatre, it has also been awarded the Tassilo prize of the Süddeutsche Zeitung.
