== History ==
The theatre group is one of several sections of SpVgg Hambach, alongside football, korfball, table tennis, running, dance, gymnastics, shooting and chess; the club sees it as a way for members to develop their creativity and team spirit outside sporting competition.<ref name="spvgg" /> Its spring 2023 production, Jennifer Hülser's three-act comedy ''Frauenpension – oder aus Versehen Mord'', was postponed to May 2023 because of uncertainty over COVID-19 restrictions and energy saving.<ref name="start2022" />

== Venue ==
The group describes itself as one of the most modern equipped amateur stages. Its lighting comprises about 15,000 watts of conventional spotlights, LED spotlights, UV lights and strobes, controlled by DMX from a laptop together with music and sound effects; it also has stage microphones, wireless microphones and fog machines.<ref name="wir" />
