Theater Mutabor-Alzey is an amateur theatre group based in Alzey, Rhenish Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. Founded in 2018, it has no permanent stage and performs at changing locations, from a schoolhouse and a theatre barn to a media library and a country inn.

History
The group was founded in 2018 and had five members in 2020. Its first listed production, Herz eines Boxers, dates from the same year. At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic the group took part in a staging of the village opera Die Riesen vom Berge, which could be performed despite the restrictions.

This led to the idea of a play about the history and character of the Alzey district of Heimersheim. For this project the group received funding from the model project Landluft 2.0 of the Bund Deutscher Amateurtheater (BDAT), which supported amateur stages in rural areas; the funding period ran from 1 October 2020 to 31 August 2021 and paid for coaching by a theatre-pedagogy director to develop the script from collected local history. The resulting piece, Zeitreise Heimersheim – auf geht's!, was written for the village's 1250th anniversary under the motto "1250 Jahre Heimersheim – ein Dorf spielt sich selbst" and premiered on 25 September 2021 in the schoolyard of the Alte Schule in Heimersheim. In the project documentation the group said that it expected to become a registered association in the foreseeable future.
