Schoko mit Gurke ("chocolate with cucumber") is an independent amateur improvisational theatre group from Halle (Saale), Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. Active since 2010, it has been organised since 2013 as the association Schoko mit Gurke – Improvisationstheater e. V.

History
The group has performed improvised theatre in Halle and elsewhere in Germany since 2010, and founded its association in September 2013, whose statutes state the aim of enriching cultural and artistic life, especially in Halle. The group explains its name by the way improvisation often brings together things that do not seem to fit. By its own count it has given around 150 performances, from Salzburg to Hamburg, and has also done theatre-education work.

Performances
The group describes itself as musical and experimental, with a repertoire ranging from classic short-form improv shows to long-form formats with narrative depth. Its regular venue is the Lernwerkstatt in house 31 of the Francke Foundations in Halle, where it also stages themed evenings such as Impromantik. It also performs at company events, weddings and other celebrations. It has appeared, among other places, at the Halle Neustadt-Spektakel (2017), at the Freie Spielstätte and the Theater Die Bude in Halle, and at the Cineding in Leipzig, where the Leipziger Volkszeitung wrote in January 2012 that it hoped to see "this young improv group" in Leipzig again soon.

Organisation
Since 2019 the association has been a member of the Freie Spielstätten Halle e. V.
