Théâtre Jean Renoir e. V. is a French-language amateur theatre company in Munich, Bavaria, Germany. Founded in 2004, it stages a production of contemporary French drama every year, aiming to bring together a francophone and francophile audience.

History
The company grew out of the Atelier Jean Renoir, a theatre workshop at the French lycée in Munich (today the Lycée Jean Renoir) for teachers and upper-school students, led by a literature teacher, an art teacher and a professional actor. For more than 20 years the workshop introduced students to notable dramatic texts; it won first prize in an inter-school drama competition in Versailles, ahead of the French lycées of Saint Petersburg and London, with a collage of French theatre characters from four centuries. In 2004 the former literature teacher, Valérie Weidenfeld, founded the Théâtre Jean Renoir as an independent company.

Repertoire
Its 2026 production, Politiquement correct, had a run of more than twenty performances in April and May 2026.
