Theaterverein Inning am Holz e. V. is an amateur theatre group in Inning am Holz, district of Erding, Upper Bavaria, Germany. It stages a Bavarian comedy every spring and, at intervals of a few years, an open-air production on the Inninger Alm. Its roots go back to a theatre club founded in 1920; the present association was established in 2022.

History
In 1920 a group around Leonhard Schweiger, a founding member of the local shooting club Schützengesellschaft Waldperle, founded the theatre club Edelweiß Inning am Holz, which staged numerous one-act and full-length plays in the following years. Few records survive from the 1930s and 1940s; with many of the male players called up for war service, the club came to a halt. It was revived in 1950 and played at the inn Wirt z'Inning until 1956, when the troupe broke up.

In 1984 a new group formed as a section of the Schützengesellschaft Waldperle. It started with one-act plays for Kirchweih Monday and at Erding Air Base, and from 1986 staged a three-act play every Easter in the hall of the Gasthaus Winkler in Großwimpasing. In 2018 it put on its first open-air production, Der Brandner Kaspar und das ewig' Leben, on the grounds of the Inninger Alm; after its success the group decided to stage open-air theatre regularly. The 2020 production, Hochzeits(ver)planer, was cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic, and in 2021 the group played in the open air instead of at Easter.

On 5 May 2022, after 37 years as a section of the shooting club, the theatre group left the Schützengesellschaft Waldperle and founded an independent association, the Theaterverein Inning am Holz e. V., at the Gasthaus Winkler. In 2023 it moved into the newly built Bürgerhaus in Inning am Holz.

Repertoire
The group plays mainly Bavarian comedies and farces, usually one three-act play a year, with performances over two or three weekends around Easter. The open-air productions on the Inninger Alm, staged jointly with the Schützengesellschaft Waldperle, are larger: Der Geisterbräu in 2024 had four stage sets, 25 actors and 13 extras.
