The Dreiflüssetheater Passau is an amateur theatre club in Passau, Lower Bavaria, Germany. Founded in 1972, it stages one comedy each autumn, mostly German versions of English-language farces.[1][2]
History
The club was founded in 1972 and describes itself as a fixture of Passau's cultural life.[1] In 2017/18 its production of Michael Frayn's Der nackte Wahnsinn (Noises Off) was given seven times in the festival hall of the Landwirtschaftlicher Bezirksverein in Passau, followed on 5 January 2018 by a final performance in the sold-out Stadttheater Passau. The club marked its 50th anniversary in 2022 with the premiere of Peter Shaffer's Komödie im Dunkeln (Black Comedy), at which members were honoured.[3][2]
