History
The group grew out of the cast assembled for Wemding's 1200th anniversary celebrations in 1993 and was formally established in 1996.[1][2]
Repertoire
Its first production was a Posse (farce) by Johann Nestroy, followed by plays with music and song. The group also staged Friedrich Dürrenmatt's Romulus der Große and the fairy-tale play Das kalte Herz. Later it turned to plays with a local-history background; the town describes the performance of Blutglocke on the steps of the historic town hall as the high point of its work so far.[1]
Organisation
Together with the school drama group of the Leonhart-Fuchs school, the group produced Christmas fairy-tale plays for the Wemding Christmas market.[1]
