The Hofmarkbühne Winhöring is the amateur theatre section of the Arbeiterverein Winhöring (kulturell) e. V. in Winhöring in the district of Altötting, Upper Bavaria, Germany. Since 1992 it has staged a comedy every October, and at carnival time it presents a revue, the Wi-NARR-inger Narreng'sang.[1]
History
The Arbeiterverein was founded in 1909 as a workers' sickness benefit society (Arbeiter-Krankenunterstützungsverein), renamed the Geselliger Arbeiterverein Winhöring in 1971, and describes itself as the village's cultural association, devoted to traditional costume, theatre and Bavarian customs.[2]
The association's theatre tradition began in 1921 with the play Der Amerika Seppl, which made a profit of 799.50 marks. In 1922 four plays were staged. Theatre stopped during the war years, and from 1978 to 1991 no director could be found. The present Hofmarkbühne was founded in 1992 with the play Der Draufgänger, directed by Gerhard Krause.[1]
Repertoire
The Hofmarkbühne plays comedies, farces, crime comedies and boulevard plays. It also performs sketches at company and club events.[1] The carnival revue combines sketches, songs, dances and mime; its 31st edition took place in 2026.[3]

Organisation
Besides the Hofmarkbühne, the Arbeiterverein has a young men's group (Burschen, since 2014) and a young women's group (Dirndlschaft, since 2019).[2]
