History
The association was founded in 1998 as a non-profit theatre club of amateur actors and is a member of the Bavarian amateur theatre association. In 2011 the ensemble received the cultural recognition prize of the district of Freising. It has about 85 members, some of whom are active as actors, directors or in stage building and technical work.[1]
Repertoire
The group's productions include Friedrich Dürrenmatt's tragic comedy Der Besuch der alten Dame, a play by Ferdinand von Schirach, Arsen und Spitzenhäubchen, Das Gespenst von Canterville, Das Tagebuch der Anne Frank by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett, Zusammen ist man weniger allein after Anna Gavalda's novel, Hotel zu den zwei Welten and Zwei wie Bonnie und Clyde.[2] In early 2027 it is staging René Heinersdorff's comedy Weiße Turnschuhe.[3]
Sections
- Scherenschnitt-Theater: a silhouette theatre section, set up on the initiative of the association's chairman for the 30th anniversary of a local hobby artists' group, in which paper silhouettes by Tanja Wiborg are moved in front of a lit background while a narrator tells the story.
