The Bühne links der Bina e. V. is an amateur theatre group in the district of Landshut, Lower Bavaria, Germany, that performs mainly classics of world literature in the area around Vilsbiburg. It was founded in 1989 by Anja Becker and has staged one production of its own each year since 1990.[1]
History
Anja Becker founded the group after she had stopped working in professional theatre, and directed it until 2010, staging 20 plays. Later productions were directed by Andrzej Margowski, Hans Dieter Trayer, Sven Hussock, Sebastian Goller and Sepp Fischer, and since 2025 by Thomas Ecker. The group celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2020.[1] All twelve performances of its 2026 production, Stolz und Vorurteil after Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, were sold out.[2]
Repertoire
The group designs and makes its own sets and costumes, and its productions often include live music played by young musicians.[1]
