History
On 27 October 1984 the Boppard tourism and civic society (Verkehrs- und Verschönerungsverein, VVV) placed an advertisement in the local paper Rund um Boppard calling for a theatre club to enrich the town's cultural life. The first enthusiasts who responded staged Molière's Der eingebildete Kranke that year, followed by the winter fairy tale Die Prinzessin auf der Erbse. In the following years the group produced more and more plays, at times up to four productions a year.[1]

Its repertoire includes classic and modern drama, comedies and fairy tales.[3][4][5]

- 1991–2000: J. M. Synge's Ein wahrer Held, August von Kotzebue's Die deutschen Kleinstädter, Hans Sachs's carnival play Der Krämerskorb, Pavel Kohout's Krieg im dritten Stock, the 1920s revue Die Bar zum Krokodil and fairy tales such as Dornröschen.[4]

Recent productions include Jens Exler's comedy Tratsch im Treppenhaus and Fröhliche Weihnachten, Mr. Scrooge! after Charles Dickens, which the group has staged three times.[6] In November it is performing a stage version of What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? as a psychological thriller in the Stadthalle.[2]
