buehnenreiz e. V. is an amateur theatre association in Nuremberg, Middle Franconia, Germany. It was founded on 19 July 2018 and staged its first production in March 2019.[1]

History

The association's first production was a crime comedy by Walter G. Pfaus, Erben ist nicht leicht, in March 2019, followed in November 2019 by Michael Cooney's farce Und ewig rauschen die Gelder. During the COVID-19 pandemic it had to stop rehearsing in 2020 and 2021. In 2021 and 2022 members filmed scenes for German-language learning videos for a language-course publisher in the Hummelsteiner Park, and in 2021 the group performed sketches at a seniors' afternoon of the Südstadtforum, which provides its rehearsal room.[1]

Repertoire

The group stages mainly contemporary comedies and chamber plays. Its productions include Yasmina Reza's Der Gott des Gemetzels (God of Carnage, 2022), Lutz Hübner's Frau Müller muss weg (January 2023), Deadline oder der Roman der nie fertig wird (autumn 2024), Weiß.Punkt. (autumn 2025) and the two-person comedy Derby auf dem Sofa, which premiered on 22 May 2026.[1] Frau Müller muss weg was performed in the hall of the Seniorentreff Bleiweiß in Nuremberg.[2]
