History

The first production, Holledauer Fidel in summer 2001, was in such demand that it was repeated in 2002; it was followed by Der böse Geist Lumpazivagabundus after Johann Nestroy in 2003 and 2004, and in 2005 Die Donauliesl set an attendance record despite bad weather. In winter 2006/07 a group of young players staged Es gibt keine Helden mehr indoors at the Gasthaus Friedenseiche, and in 2009 the youth group gave the children's musical Die Hexe Backa Racka. In 2014 the association staged Der Sommernachtstraum as a promenade performance at the Wenzelhof; the 2015 production of High Society was given with the project orchestra of the Straubing-Bogen district music school and supported by the Bavarian culture fund.[1] In 2022 the association marked 20 years of castle theatre in Mitterfels with an anniversary show.[2]
