D' Forstenriada is the amateur theatre section of the sports club TSV Forstenried in Munich, Bavaria, Germany, based in the Forstenried area of the borough of Thalkirchen-Obersendling-Forstenried-Fürstenried-Solln. The section was re-founded in August 1978 and mainly stages comedies, usually one season a year in November.[1]
History
Until the early 2000s it usually staged a spring and an autumn production, often Bavarian comedies by authors such as Peter Landstorfer, Ulla Kling, Franz Schaurer and Walter G. Pfaus. It played at the Gaststätte Maxhof from autumn 1986, at the Forum Forstenried from 1991 and at the Gaststätte Hubertus (later Hubertus/Poseidon) from 1992, and since spring 2005 it has performed in the Bürgersaal Fürstenried. No performances took place from 2020 to 2022.[2]
Repertoire
A season lasts about three months, with eight weeks of rehearsals twice a week and performances on the last three weekends; usually six to twelve actors take part.[1] For November 2026 the group announced the world premiere of the black crime comedy Das grüne Geheimnis oder Sag's nicht weiter by Karl (Charly) Gallenz, set in a small nursery garden.[3]
