History

Before the association existed, various Jetzendorf clubs took turns staging plays. The first was the Schützenverein Germania; then, until 1933, the Burschenkapelle Schneider played under the direction of the parish priest Waldherr in the hall of the Postwirtschaft. Theatre came to a halt before the Second World War, but soon after the war young people revived it, and the costume club, the VdK and the sports club each staged at least two plays a year. In 1962, after a performance of Die drei Eisbären, the Postsaal was closed as unsafe and later demolished. In 1969 the volunteer fire brigade converted the stage in the hall of the Prielwirtschaft, and the TSV Jetzendorf then staged the village plays for almost 30 years.[1]

D' Jetzendorfa Theatara e. V. was founded on 29 February 2004, with Rupert Leimberger as first chairman; the mayor, Richard Schnell, chaired the election.[1]
