Das Südspiel

Bringing together several earlier theatre activities involving amateur performers, Südspiel is a theatre association located in Neubiberg, near Munich. they perform some classical plays such as Stringberg's "Dreamplay" but also devise their own musical productions. They perform at different venues in the Southern suburbs of Munich and also tour their productions.

History

Profiting from earlier performance experience of members, Südspiel was founded as a theater association ("gemeinnütziger Verein") in 2019. They had their first performance "Tot-sicher!?" ("Deadly certain!?") in 2019 at Feierwerk, a non-profit organization providing a venue for new art, music and culture. They started their own YouTube channel during the Covid-19 pandemicand streamed performances, but went live again in 2022.
