The Haagerthaler Bauernbühne is an amateur theatre group in Oberleinsiedl, part of the municipality of Ursensollen in the district of Amberg-Sulzbach, Upper Palatinate, Bavaria, Germany. History
The group began in 1996 as an informal association of amateur actors without a fixed organisational form, starting with four performances in Oberleinsiedl. Its proceeds go to the Haagerthaler shooting club, mainly for youth work. Since 2013 the group has given three additional performances in the kubus in Ursensollen, one of them in the afternoon for older visitors and children. The COVID-19 pandemic interrupted the annual productions for the first time in 2020; the next new play followed in 2024. Rehearsals start in early January, usually two or three times a week.[1]

For many years it performed the Neusather Herbergsuche, a nativity walking play in five stations by Erika Eichenseer, directed by Hubert Schuster with about 20 participants, at the beginning of Advent in the Oberpfälzer Freilandmuseum Neusath-Perschen (2009–2011, 2013–2019 and 2022), and in 2016 also at the forest centre in Sinzing. The museum performances ended after the government of the Upper Palatinate withdrew its funding in 2023. Actors of the group also appeared alongside professional musical performers in the open-air Amberger Welttheater (Der Herbst des Winterkönigs), about a fictitious stay of the "Winter King" Frederick V in Amberg after the Battle of White Mountain, performed in 2009, 2014, 2019 and 2024.[3]

The group plays Bavarian comedies and farces (Schwänke). There were no productions from 2020 to 2023.[4] In 2025 Frühreif by Andreas Keßner was shown at the kubus from 2 to 4 May,[5] and Die Silberhochzeit by Regina Rösch premiered on 20 March 2026 in the sold-out hall of the Gasthaus Michl in Oberleinsiedl.[6][7]

The group's home stage is the hall of the Gasthaus Michl in Oberleinsiedl; since 2013 it has also played in the kubus event hall in Ursensollen.[1][6]
