The Heimatbühne Tittmoning e. V. is an amateur theatre association in the town of Tittmoning in the district of Traunstein, Upper Bavaria, Germany. Founded in 1984, it stages a full-length play every autumn in the Braugasthof in Tittmoning and, in the first half of the year, a cabaret programme written by its own members.[1]
History
The Heimatbühne Tittmoning was founded in 1984; 45 members joined in that year and the following one. Since 2002 it has performed a cabaret programme, at first under the name Bienenstiche, in which young members can take their first steps on stage alongside the regular players of the autumn productions; the texts and songs are written by members, among them Thomas Brückner, Petra Sinzinger and Godehard Mayer, who directs the cabaret. The association also visits theatre groups in the surrounding area and in neighbouring Austria, makes club trips and performs every year at the local strong-beer festival and town festival.[1] After a two-year break, it returned in 2026 with a new cabaret programme, Sch(m)erzgrenzen.[2]
Repertoire
The autumn productions range from Bavarian folk plays to German versions of English, French and American comedies and crime plays. From 1984 to 2008 the association staged one autumn production almost every year.[3]
