The Inzeller Bauernbühne is an amateur theatre group in Inzell, in the Chiemgau region of Bavaria, Germany. It stages Bavarian folk comedies and dramas, with a summer production on the open-air stage in Inzell and a winter production each year.[1]
Repertoire
The group plays mainly comedies by contemporary authors of Bavarian folk theatre, alongside occasional dramas such as Jennerwein about the poacher Georg Jennerwein and Hollerblüh, set among poachers in the early 1930s. Since 2022 it has played two productions a year, one in summer and one in winter.[1] In summer 2026 it played a comedy by Julia Amann about the Boandlkramer (the figure of Death in Bavarian folk theatre) on the open-air stage, with eleven performances planned from 2 July to 4 August, several of which were cancelled or broken off because of the weather.[1]
