The Kopfnuss-Theater e. V. is an amateur theatre group in Speinshart, in the district of Neustadt an der Waldnaab, Upper Palatinate, Bavaria, Germany. Its ensemble of members aged from 5 to 62 makes music theatre in the local dialect, from one-act plays at school festivals to three-hour musicals.[1][2]
History
The group performed its musical Mittsommerjagd, inspired by Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, in Vorbach in November 2009.[3] In 2011 it staged the "crimical" steinreich in Eschenbach and Vorbach, and in 2014 and 2016 Es ist Zeit Kasper – rien ne va plus!, a version of the Brandner Kaspar story.[3][4] For the 875th anniversary of the monastery village of Speinshart it developed the music theatre piece Inmitten – Dazwischen, which links the history of Speinshart Abbey with themes such as inclusion and tolerance; the project was selected for Landluft 2.0, a rural theatre programme of the Bund Deutscher Amateurtheater (BDAT), and was performed in 2022 with support from regional development budgets.[1][4]
