History
The group was founded by 42 people on 4 July 1985; it now has more than 100 members. Its first home was the hall of the Langenbach school until 1992; from 1993 it played in the "Moasta-Halle" provided by Johann Heinrich. In 2004, while its new home in the Alter Wirt was being prepared, it gave a guest season in Marzling, and in September 2005 it opened the renovated Bürgersaal with the drama Der Föhn.[1] The group celebrated its 35th anniversary in 2020 and its 40th in 2025, for which the adults staged Eine Weihnachtsgeschichte after Charles Dickens in a version by member Anna-Lena Seisenberger.[2][3]
Repertoire
The adult ensemble mainly plays dialect comedies, alongside works such as the Valentinaden, a collection of comic pieces by Karl Valentin staged in 2023 for the 75th anniversary of his death; the youth group JuLa specialises in crime comedies and crime dinners, and the Küken play fairy tales and children's books.[2][3]
