The Laienspielgruppe Pfaffing e. V. is an amateur theatre group in Pfaffing, in the district of Rosenheim, Upper Bavaria, Germany. Founded in 1983 at the request of the municipality, it rehearses and stages one play each year, usually in March, and in 2026 started a children's theatre group.[1][2]
History
A small group of people interested in theatre came together in 1983, at the municipality's request, to promote the community's cultural life through amateur drama; its founding members included Toni Wegmaier sen. and Elisabeth Neumeier. The group celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2023. Its children's theatre group gave its first performance in the community hall on 30 July 2026.[1][2][3]
Repertoire
The group plays Bavarian comedies. Productions documented on its website include Breznknödl-Deschawü (2015), A Flascherl vom Glück (2019), Die verhinderte Festrede (2023), Bodschamperlspuk (2024), Die Traumpaare von Schwingötting (2025) and Da lacha ja d'Hehna (2026), a comedy in three acts by Andreas Kirner and Thomas Leibig; the next production is planned for March 2027.[3][2]
Venue
The group performs in the community hall (Gemeindesaal) in Pfaffing.[2]
Organisation
