History
The Münchner Heimatbühne was founded in 1956. Its members aim to preserve the customs and language of Munich and to entertain their audience.[1] The group celebrated its 25th anniversary in April 1983 with Der fidele Hausl by Franz Schaurer in the Kleine Olympiahalle, playing to its largest audience, 440 spectators at one performance. By 2002 it had given 566 performances in 46 years.[1] By spring 2002 it had staged 122 plays.[3]
Repertoire
The group stages two plays a year, in spring and autumn; around 2003 each had nine performances.[3][1] In autumn 2026 it played the rural farce Hinterm Mond will keiner leben by Andrea Döring in six performances.[4]
