The association Marktler Theaterbrett'l eingetragener Verein was entered in the register of associations at the Traunstein local court on 8 December 2005.[4]
In January 2010, after a year's break, the cabaret group returned with the programme Der Wahnsinn kennt keine Grenzen, which premiered on 15 January 2010 at the Gasthaus Oberbräu in Marktl. According to the local press, the lay performers mainly took up local topics such as municipal politics, but also wider issues such as swine flu, the smoking ban and the economic crisis.[2] After a longer pause, the cabaret group premiered a new programme, Mia vergessn nix, in the TSV sports clubhouse in early 2024.[5] In 2026 it announced cabaret evenings under the title Wahlparty.[6]
