History
The association was founded in July 2009. Its founders were theatre-makers from Nabburg and the district of Schwandorf, among them Gerald Igl, who had led the "Woodpop" theatre, the director Anita Luft, Wolfgang Engel, founder of the open music stage in the Schmidt-Haus, and Cosima Wittenzellner, head of a school drama group at the Berufliche Oberschule Schwandorf, who became chair. At the founding meeting the members agreed to draw on their experience but also to try new and experimental work.[1] Its first production, the family play Herr der Diebe after Cornelia Funke, opened on 30 October 2009.[2]
