History
Rainer Schissel, who has been on stage since 1989, founded s’Theaterplatzl in December 2017. He selects and adapts the plays, designs sets and costumes, handles sound and light and directs the productions.[2][4] The ensemble's Christmas productions in Bischofswiesen regularly fill the hall; the local press described the 2022 and 2025 premieres as well received by the audience.[5][4] In 2026 the group was looking for young male actors aged about 18 to 30.[6]
Repertoire
The group stages three-act Bavarian comedies, most of them Christmas plays.[1]
