s’Bredl e. V. is an amateur theatre association in Munich, Bavaria, Germany. It plays in the parish hall of St. Joachim in the Obersendling district, staging a comedy or crime play each spring and a play for children each November, and won the Bavarian amateur theatre award Larifari in 2017.[1][2][3]

History

The group describes itself as a Munich amateur theatre whose members do all the work themselves, from stage design, sound, lighting, make-up, costumes and props to catering, with actors and directors all drawn from the group; it pursues no commercial aims.[1][2] In 2017 its production of Peter Landstorfer's Wob-Baba-Luba won first prize in the boulevard theatre category of the fourth Bayerischer Amateurtheaterpreis (Larifari) of the Verband Bayerischer Amateurtheater e. V.; 94 productions had been submitted, and the prize was presented on 23 June 2018 in the Stadthalle of Penzberg.[3]

Repertoire

The spring productions are boulevard comedies, Bavarian folk plays and crime plays; the autumn productions are fairy tales and children's plays "for children and adults".[2] In 2015 the group also staged a variety evening, Kunterbunte Theaterschmankerl.[4]
