The Sendlinger Bauernbühne is the amateur theatre section of the sports and culture club Freie Turnerschaft München Süd e. V. (FTM Süd) in the Sendling district of Munich, Bavaria, Germany. Founded in 1967, it performs comedies in Bavarian dialect, with six performances each in spring and late autumn.[1][2]
History
More than 50 years ago, a few theatre enthusiasts among the members of FTM Süd set up a theatre section within the club; according to the club, the group has existed since 1967.[2][1] By 2026 it had about 25 active actors of all ages, as well as members working behind the scenes in directing, make-up, technology and set building.[2][2]
Repertoire
The group stages Bavarian dialect comedies, normally two new productions a year, one in spring and one in autumn.[1][2]
