The Sendlinger Komödienbrett’l e. V. is an amateur theatre association in Munich, Bavaria, Germany, that stages Bavarian comedies twice a year in the hall of the Prinzregent Garten restaurant in Pasing.[1][2] It was founded in 1992.[3]
History
The association was founded on 14 May 1992 by nine founding members and entered in the register of associations on 13 January 1993. It celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2017 and its 30th in 2022.[3] No productions took place from spring 2020 to autumn 2021 because of the COVID-19 pandemic, nor in 2022 and spring 2023 because of renovation; the autumn 2025 production was also cancelled.[2] In 2016 the founding member Wolfgang Hirsch was made an honorary member.[4]
Repertoire
The group plays three-act Bavarian comedies, one in spring and one in autumn, under the motto Lustig sei Leut, oiwei lustig sei.[2][5] The authors of some plays have attended its performances, such as Erfried Smija in 2016 and Andreas Heck in 2017.[6]
