Studentersamfundets Interne Teater

Studentersamfundets Interne Teater (Studentersamfundet's Internal Theatre) is a student theatre group located at Studentersamfundet in Trondheim, Norway. The theatre group was founded in December 1910, and recruits its members from the town's student body.
In 1912 they premiered their first revue, which from 1917 onwards became an important part of the cultural festival UKA. This student festival is held every second year, mainly in order to raise money to keep the student society running. The student theatre has performed plays in most genres over the years, including the world premiere of Henrik Ibsen's 1851 dramatic parody "Norma" on November 5th 1994.
The current group has about 70 members divided into three working groups: costume, scenography and acting. Several pervious memebers has gone on to a professional theatre career; as actors, directors, playwrights and artistic directors.
