The Theater- und Gesangverein „Harmonie" Zaisertshofen, also known as the Theaterverein Zaisertshofen, is an amateur theatre association in Zaisertshofen, a village in the market town of Tussenhausen in the Unterallgäu district, Swabia, Bavaria, Germany. Founded in 1949, it stages one comedy each autumn in the hall of the village inn.[1]
History
The association was founded on 23 February 1949.[1] In 2020 it cancelled its season because the COVID-19 pandemic made rehearsals and planning impossible.[2]
Repertoire
The group performs comedies (Lustspiele). The premiere is always on the last Sunday in October; performances follow on Saturdays and Sundays, and their number depends on demand, but the season ends before Christmas at the latest.[1] Popular productions are extended with extra dates.[3][4]

Venue
The association rehearses and performs in the hall of the Gasthaus Krone, known as the "Bäckerwirt", in Zaisertshofen; the hall is on the first floor of the inn, which also serves as the association's clubhouse restaurant.[1][7] Tickets are sold through the local bank, the Mindelheimer Zeitung offices in Mindelheim and Bad Wörishofen, the association's own telephone line and an online booking page.[7]
Organisation
The club year runs from 1 October to 30 September; the annual general meeting is held on the Monday of the parish fair (Kirchweih), and the season closes in March. The search for a new play starts in April, the first read-through takes place at the end of July, and from September the cast rehearses on stage three times a week.[1]
Outside the theatre season the association takes part in the carnival parade of the local Narrenzunft Zaisonarria with a float called "Die weissblaue Komödie", which satirises local and regional topics, and its members attend performances of other theatre groups in the area.[1]
