Theaterfreunde Oberweißenbach e. V. is an amateur theatre association from Oberweißenbach, a village of the town of Helmbrechts, district of Hof, Upper Franconia, Bavaria, Germany.[1] The theatre group, active for almost 27 years by then, founded the association on 29 May 2020.[2]
History
The group started on a small scale many years before 2020. To pursue its aims and to keep the group together, it decided after almost 27 years to form an association: on 29 May 2020, 13 members founded the Theaterfreunde Oberweißenbach e. V. unanimously at a founding meeting held, under pandemic distancing rules, on the meadow next to the Birkenstadel in Oberweißenbach.[2]
Repertoire
Between 2020 and 2023 the association's programme included a Kulturnacht every year, the production Wenn einer eine Reise tut … (2022) and the play Chaos im Laden (2023). It also offered performances on request for birthdays, weddings and company celebrations (Theater to go).[3][4]
Venue
The group performs in the Birkenstadel in Oberweißenbach.[4]
