Theatergruppe „Die Uffgesatzte“ (also spelled „Die Uffgesatzde“) is an amateur theatre group in Gödenroth, a village in the Hunsrück in the Rhein-Hunsrück-Kreis, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany.[1] Founded in 2001, it performs in the village's community hall.
History
The group was formed in 2001 after a call for participants in the local official gazette. Its first play was staged successfully in 2002 under the umbrella of the sports club TuS Gödenroth. By then the group had taken its name, „Die Uffgesatzte“, after the drink consumed at rehearsals. In 2006 a theatre association of its own was founded, and from then on the group organised its performances on its own account.[1]
The performances planned for 2 to 4 April 2020, of Onkel Herrmann und die Pluderhosen, were cancelled because of the health situation at the time, during the COVID-19 pandemic. The group returned to the stage in 2023 after this break.[2][3]
Repertoire
Its 2017 production was a comedy by Winnie Abel, and in 2024 it again staged a play by the same author.[4][2] All three performances of Kaviar trifft Currywurst in May 2017 were sold out, and the Rhein-Zeitung reported on the production under the headline „Die Uffgesatzte“ bieten rasante Komödie (“offer a fast-paced comedy”).[5][4]
