Theatergruppe Kaufering e. V. is an amateur theatre association in Kaufering, district of Landsberg, Upper Bavaria, Germany.[1] Since 1974 it has staged one comedy a year, mostly in dialect, around Christmas and New Year in the Leonhardi-Saal.[1][2]
History
The group has performed for the regional public since 1974, when it staged Bonifaz auf Brautschau. Its performances have usually been almost sold out; in 2019/20 Gasthof zur letzten Rast sold about 1,000 tickets for six performances. After two years without performances during the pandemic it returned in 2023, and it has since celebrated its 50th anniversary.[1][3]

Most plays are performed in the local dialect, from Bonifaz auf Brautschau and Kavalier am Steuer to Bloß koan Schnaps. The group rehearses for about three months each year.[1]
