The Theatergruppe Vierkirchen is an amateur theatre association in Vierkirchen, Dachau district, Upper Bavaria, Germany. Founded in November 1996, mostly by former players of the local rural youth (Landjugend), it stages a Bavarian comedy in three acts every year and occasionally an open-air production.[1][2]
History
The group was founded at a meeting in November 1996; according to the group, all but one of the founding members are still members. On 19 November 2016 it celebrated its 20th anniversary with 80 guests in its theatre hall and presented a chronicle of the association.[1][3] It has also made short appearances, at the district culture days (Kreiskulturtage) in Dachau in May 2004 and at the Bundesgartenschau 2005 in Munich.[2]
Repertoire
Most of the group's productions are comedies by Peter Landstorfer; other authors include Ulla Kling and Georg Maier.[2]
